AF Racing will field two GRC Lites cars for this weekend’s Red Bull Global Rallycross season opener at Memphis International Raceway. Alejandro Fernandez will return for his fourth season as a Red Bull GRC driver in the #126 car, while Burt Jenner will make his debut in the #5 United Fiber & Data/LIVE car.

Jenner joins the team after a successful career in off-road and sports car racing. While a newcomer to rallycross, he is no stranger to winning, taking top honors in Octane Academy in 2013 and running extensively in Lamborghini Super Trofeo and Stadium Super Trucks.

“The Red Bull GRC series is incredible racing and we can’t wait to see Burt Jenner make his debut,” said Chad Taylor, guitarist of the multi-platinum rock band LIVE. “He’s a highly competitive and talented driver, and we’re lucky to have him represent the band LIVE as we prepare to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our debut album, Mental Jewelry. We’ll be on tour all summer long but tuning in to NBC to watch Burt go for victory!”

Fernandez, meanwhile, is a multiple podium finisher in GRC Lites, as well as its Fan Favorite Driver in each of the past three seasons. Red Bull GRC’s first Colombian driver enters this weekend aiming not only for strong results, but also to help Jenner make the transition to GRC Lites.

“I’m excited to get back behind the wheel this weekend in Memphis,” said Fernandez. “Having Burt Jenner join me this weekend is especially awesome for us at AF Racing, as he brings a winning track record to the program. I’m looking forward to working with him, as well as showing the rest of the field that we have what it takes to win!”

GRC Lites Memphis will air this Tuesday, May 2 at 5PM ET on the NBC Sports Network.
